Cochrane is a village in Buffalo County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 435 at the 2000 census. Cochrane is located at 44 °13 40 N, 91 °50 9 W (44.227883, -91.835829) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.9 km (0.7 mi ). 1.9 km (0.7 mi ) of it is land and a small lake named Goose Lake. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 435 people, 188 households, and 128 families residing in the village. The population density was 233.3/km (603.4/mi ). There were 197 housing units at an average density of 105.6/km (273.3/mi ). The racial makeup of the village was 98.85% White, 0.23% Asian, 0.92% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.92% of the population. There were 188 households out of which 29.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.3% were married couples living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.9% were non-families. 28.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
