Hobart is a village in Brown County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 5,090 at the 2000 census. It was formerly known as the Town of Hobart, until the entire town incorporated as the Village of Hobart on May 13, 2002. [1]

A small portion of the village is part of the unincorporated census-designated place (CDP) given the name Oneida. Most of the CDP is located within the Town of Oneida in Outagamie County. This CDP is an entity created solely for statistical purposes.

The village is entirely within the boundaries of Wisconsin's Oneida Indian Reservation.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 86.1 km (33.3 mi ). 85.9 km (33.2 mi ) of it is land and 0.3 km (0.1 mi ) of it (0.33%) is water.

As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 5,090 people, 1,717 households, and 1,468 families residing in the village. The population density was 59.3/km (153.5/mi ). There were 1,758 housing units at an average density of 20.5/km (53.0/mi ). The racial makeup of the village was 80.57% White, 0.10% African American, 16.66% Native American, 0.69% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 0.39% from other races, and 1.51% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.86% of the population.
