Mason is a village in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 72 at the 2000 census. The village is located within the Town of Mason. Mason is located at 46 °26 1 N, 91 °3 43 W (46.433678, -91.06204) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.3 km (0.5 mi ). None of the area is covered with water. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 72 people, 26 households, and 19 families residing in the village. The population density was 54.5/km (141.8/mi ). There were 35 housing units at an average density of 26.5/km (68.9/mi ). The racial makeup of the village was 87.50% White, 4.17% Native American, 4.17% Asian, and 4.17% from two or more races. There were 26 households out of which 30.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.2% were married couples living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.1% were non-families. 23.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
