Morse is a town in Ashland County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 515 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 270.3 km (104.4 mi ). 266.1 km (102.8 mi ) of it is land and 4.2 km (1.6 mi ) of it (1.55%) is water. As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 515 people, 194 households, and 153 families residing in the town. The population density was 1.9/km (5.0/mi ). There were 380 housing units at an average density of 1.4/km (3.7/mi ). The racial makeup of the town was 97.09% White, 0.78% Native American, 0.39% Asian, 0.19% from other races, and 1.55% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.19% of the population. There were 194 households out of which 34.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.6% were married couples living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.1% were non-families. 16.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
