Springdale was officially incorporated on February 9, 1903.

Springdale is located at 48 °3 26 N, 117 °44 37 W (48.057151, -117.743749) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.6 km (1.0 mi ), all land.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 283 people, 100 households, and 74 families residing in the town. The population density was 108.2/km (279.7/mi ). There were 109 housing units at an average density of 41.7/km (107.7/mi ). The racial makeup of the town was 93.99% White, 0.71% African American, 0.71% Native American, 0.71% Pacific Islander, 0.35% from other races, and 3.53% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.18% of the population.

There were 100 households out of which 39.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.0% were married couples living together, 23.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.0% were non-families. 23.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.77 and the average family size was 3.23.
