Warden is a city in Grant County, Washington, United States. The population was 2,544 at the 2000 census. Warden was officially incorporated on June 16, 1910. Warden is located at 46 °57 59 N, 119 °2 35 W (46.966250, -119.043138) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.6 km (2.2 mi ). 5.4 km (2.1 mi ) of it is land and 0.1 km (0.1 mi ) of it (2.33%) is water. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 2,544 people, 720 households, and 581 families residing in the city. The population density was 467.7/km (1,212.2/mi ). There were 790 housing units at an average density of 145.2/km (376.4/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 41.55% White, 0.20% African American, 0.90% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 54.09% from other races, and 2.95% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 71.82% of the population. There were 720 households out of which 55.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.8% were married couples living together, 11.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.2% were non-families. 16.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
