Mesa was officially incorporated on June 23, 1955. Mesa is a small farming town.

Mesa is located at 46 °34 37 N, 119 °0 9 W (46.576963, -119.002516) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.1 km (1.6 mi ), all land.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 425 people, 105 households, and 91 families residing in the city. The population density was 103.9/km (268.7/mi ). There were 111 housing units at an average density of 27.1/km (70.2/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 58.59% White, 0.94% Native American, 0.47% Asian, 28.24% from other races, and 11.76% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 59.29% of the population.

There were 105 households out of which 64.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.4% were married couples living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.3% were non-families. 7.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 4.05 and the average family size was 4.15.
