Larksville is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, two miles (three km) west of Wilkes Barre on the Susquehanna River, running through US-Route 11. In the past, coal-mining sustained it, yet it today area residents have been skeptic of the borough's state, going as far as to label it a "dump." In 1910, 9,288 people lived here, and in 1940, 8,467 people lived here. The population was 4,694 at the 2000 census.

Larksville is located at 41 °15 31 N, 75 °55 38 W (41.258525, -75.927176) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 12.7 km (4.9 mi ). 12.3 km (4.8 mi ) of it is land and 0.4 km (0.2 mi ) of it (3.25%) is water.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 4,694 people, 1,808 households, and 1,323 families residing in the borough. The population density was 380.7/km (986.0/mi ). There were 1,939 housing units at an average density of 157.3/km (407.3/mi ). The racial makeup of the borough was 98.93% White, 0.28% African American, 0.04% Native American, 0.28% Asian, 0.13% from other races, and 0.34% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.70% of the population.
