Newberg, OR Real Estate

Newberg is a city in Yamhill County, Oregon, United States. A tradition holds that this town was named by its first postmaster, Sebastian Brutscher, for his former hometown of Neuberg in Germany. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 18,064, smaller than that of Mcminnville, Oregon, the most populous city in Yamhill County.

Newberg is located at 45 °18 18 N, 122 °58 2 W (45.304950, -122.967360) GR1. It is located on Oregon State Highway 99W about 20 miles southwest of Portland, Oregon.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 13.0 km (5.0 mi ). It is 150 ft to 260 ft in elevation.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 18,064 people, 6,099 households, and 4,348 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,389.4/km (3,599.4/mi ). There were 6,435 housing units at an average density of 494.9/km (1,282.2/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 90.49% White, 0.35% African American, 0.64% Native American, 1.04% Asian, 0.17% Pacific Islander, 5.06% from other races, and 2.24% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 10.52% of the population.
