The city of Enterprise is the county seat of Wallowa County, Oregon, United States GR6. The population was 1,895 at the 2000 census.

Enterprise received its name as the result of a vote at a community meeting held in a tent in 1887. The tent was owned by a mercantile company. The city was incorporated in 1889.

Enterprise is located at 45 °25 27 N, 117 °16 37 W (45.424259, -117.277066) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.8 km (1.5 mi ), all land.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 1,895 people, 821 households, and 522 families residing in the city. The population density was 497.7/km (1,289.7/mi ). There were 952 housing units at an average density of 250.0/km (647.9/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 96.46% White, 0.05% African American, 0.95% Native American, 0.32% Asian, 1.06% from other races, and 1.16% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.64% of the population.
