Brooks is a census-designated place (CDP) in Marion County, Oregon, United States. The population was 410 at the 2000 census. Brooks is the home of the transportation museum Antique Powerland. Brooks is located at 45 °3 3 N, 122 °57 18 W (45.050710, -122.955105) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 km (0.5 mi ), all land. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 410 people, 152 households, and 112 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 310.4/km (807.0/mi ). There were 158 housing units at an average density of 119.6/km (311.0/mi ). The racial makeup of the CDP was 82.68% White, 0.24% African American, 1.22% Native American, 0.24% Pacific Islander, 15.12% from other races, and 0.49% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 22.20% of the population. There were 152 households out of which 30.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.9% were married couples living together, 9.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% were non-families. 24.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
