Bonanza is a city in Klamath County, Oregon, United States. The population was 415 at the 2000 census. Bonanza is located at 42 °11 58 N, 121 °24 17 W (42.199333, -121.404639) GR1. It is located at the east end of Oregon Route 70, the shortest state highway in Oregon, and is approximately 25 miles from Klamath Falls. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.1 km (0.8 mi ), all land. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 415 people, 139 households, and 102 families residing in the city. The population density was 193.1/km (497.8/mi ). There were 152 housing units at an average density of 70.7/km (182.3/mi ). The average household size was 2.99 and the average family size was 3.40. The median age was 31 years. For every 100 females there were 99.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.9 males. The median income for a household in the city was $31,944, and the median income for a family was $36,786. Males had a median income of $21,979 versus $18,750 for females. The per capita income for the city was $10,213.
