Drayton is a city in Pembina County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 913 at the 2000 census. Drayton was founded in 1878.

Drayton is located at 48 °33 40 N, 97 °10 46 W (48.561091, -97.179414) GR1.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 913 people, 401 households, and 249 families residing in the city. The population density was 597.5/km (1,548.9/mi ). There were 440 housing units at an average density of 287.9/km (746.5/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 97.81% White, 0.22% Native American, 0.66% from other races, and 1.31% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.08% of the population.

There were 401 households out of which 29.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.6% were married couples living together, 5.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.9% were non-families. 35.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.95.
