Drayton is a city in Pembina County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 913 at the 2000 census. Drayton was founded in 1878. Drayton is located at 48 °33 40 N, 97 °10 46 W (48.561091, -97.179414) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.5 km (0.6 mi ), all land. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 913 people, 401 households, and 249 families residing in the city. The population density was 597.5/km (1,548.9/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 97.81% White, 0.22% Native American, 0.66% from other races, and 1.31% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.08% of the population. There were 401 households out of which 29.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.6% were married couples living together, 5.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.9% were non-families. 35.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
