Dawson is a city in Kidder County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 75 at the 2000 census. Dawson was founded in 1880. Dawson is located at 46 °52 2 N, 99 °45 9 W (46.867102, -99.752439) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.0 km (0.4 mi ), all land. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 75 people, 38 households, and 16 families residing in the city. The population density was 72.4/km (186.9/mi ). There were 52 housing units at an average density of 50.2/km (129.6/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.
