Milton is a city in Cavalier County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 85 at the 2000 census. Milton was founded in 1887. Milton is located at 48 °37 35 N, 98 °2 30 W (48.626525, -98.041747) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.0 km (0.4 mi ), all land. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 85 people, 40 households, and 22 families residing in the city. The population density was 82.0/km (214.8/mi ). There were 60 housing units at an average density of 57.9/km (151.7/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 90.59% White, 2.35% Native American, and 7.06% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.53% of the population. There were 40 households out of which 25.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.0% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.0% were non-families. 45.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 27.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
