Oxbow is a city in Cass County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 248 at the 2000 census. It is an upscale bedroom community of Fargo, North Dakota, located about 15 miles to the north.

Oxbow is located at 46 °40 28 N, 96 °48 13 W (46.674309, -96.803634) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.1 km (0.4 mi ), all land.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 248 people, 83 households, and 76 families residing in the city. The population density was 233.5/km (609.5/mi ). There were 84 housing units at an average density of 79.1/km (206.5/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 99.60% White, and 0.40% from two or more races.

There were 83 households out of which 51.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 89.2% were married couples living together, and 8.4% were non-families. 6.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.99 and the average family size was 3.11.
