Columbus is a city in Burke County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 151 at the 2000 census. Colombus was founded in 1906. Columbus is located at 48 °54 16 N, 102 °46 53 W (48.904515, -102.781502) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.7 km (0.3 mi ), all land. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 151 people, 83 households, and 44 families residing in the city. The population density was 208.2/km (548.5/mi ). There were 142 housing units at an average density of 195.8/km (515.8/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 98.68% White, 0.66% African American and 0.66% Asian. There were 83 households out of which 12.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.8% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.8% were non-families. 44.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 30.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
