Ellerbe is a town in Richmond County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,021 at the 2000 census. It is perhaps best known as the one-time home of professional wrestler Andr © the Giant, who operated a nearby ranch/farm in his spare time and retirement. Ellerbe is notable for its peaches, fruit stands, and peach ice cream shops.

Ellerbe is located at 35 °4 20 N, 79 °45 42 W (35.072129, -79.761796) GR1.
