Hooksett is a town in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, USA. The population was 11,721 at the 2000 census.

Hooksett was incorporated in 1822. The first census, taken in 1830, reported 880 residents.

Hooksett is situated on the Merrimack River in south-central New Hampshire. Interstate 93 connects Hooksett to the White Mountains and Boston. The town is located between Manchester, New Hampshire and Concord, New Hampshire, the state capital. A prominent landmark is Robie's Country Store, a National Historic Landmark and a frequent stop for presidential candidates during the New Hampshire primary.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 96.6 km (37.3 mi ). 93.8 km (36.2 mi ) of it is land and 2.7 km (1.0 mi ) of it is water, comprising 2.82% of the town. The highest point in Hooksett is Quimby Mountain (902 feet / 275 meters above sea level ), near the town's western border. On the town's eastern border, a ridge ascending towards Hall Mountain in neighboring Candia reaches 900 feet (274 meters) above sea level.
