Twin Valley is a city in Norman County, Minnesota, along the Wild Rice River. The population was 865 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.3 km (0.9 mi ), all land. As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 865 people, 360 households, and 192 families residing in the city. The population density was 379.5/km (987.0/mi ). There were 399 housing units at an average density of 175.1/km (455.3/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 94.68% White, 0.23% African American, 2.54% Native American, 0.58% from other races, and 1.97% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.31% of the population. There were 360 households out of which 24.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.5% were married couples living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 46.4% were non-families. 43.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 30.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
