According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.6 km (0.6 mi ), all land. As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 228 people, 115 households, and 57 families residing in the city. The population density was 139.7/km (363.8/mi ). There were 128 housing units at an average density of 78.4/km (204.2/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 98.25% White, 0.88% Asian, and 0.88% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.44% of the population.
