Boyd is a city in Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 210 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.4 km (0.5 mi ), all land. As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 210 people, 100 households, and 52 families residing in the city. The population density was 153.0/km (393.5/mi ). There were 116 housing units at an average density of 84.5/km (217.4/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 97.62% White, 1.43% Native American and 0.95% Asian. There were 100 households out of which 18.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.0% were married couples living together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 48.0% were non-families. 39.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.10 and the average family size was 2.88. In the city the population was spread out with 19.0% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 30.5% from 25 to 44, 27.1% from 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
