Shevlin is a city in Clearwater County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 160.

While Shevlin itself is a small town the area has much to offer. Great fishing can be found on lakes in the area that are only frequented by locals, or barely touched at all. Depending on the lake record bluegills can be caught, my family never records our catches because they always hit the frying pan, perch, walleye, bass, crappie fishing can keep an angler busy if the angler can find a good school using a cane pole is fun because the line will barely hit the water before you're pulling it back in. A snowmobile trail has been proposed to span the northern part of MN from East to West and would pass through Shevlin. Shevlin has established snowmobile trails, including the soo line trail that passes South of Berg Lake. Deer hunting has been wonderful with the recent mild winters, good luck divulging hunting secrets for any season from the locals though. Many wild plants and animals can be spotted here, some of the unique ones include: asparagus, wild rice, lady slippers, bob cats, bear, osprey, hellbenders, trumpeter swans, just to list very very few of the abundant many. Antiques can be found in this town by the backyard and can be found at the local Backwoods Trading Co. where an antique genius by the name of Keith O'Beirne can be found. There are scores of people that reside in Shevlin who are jacks of all trades due to the lack of close employment by businesses and the surplus of farms and families that always need a hand doing something. Bartering is still used inbetween some locals foor sought after goods and services. "Old timers" provide a wealth of farming knowledge and can ramble off the history of different families and their relationships with each other at the drop of a hat. There is one gas station in Shevlin that doubles as a delicious cafe, among a couple other buildings like the Shevlin Museum. Within an hour of Shevlin there is a casino, Itasca, indian reservations, the University of Bemidji, a ski resort, and plenty of outdoor recreation. One resort can be found in Shevlin, one more is in the making South of Shevlin but will not be ready for business until roughly 2008.
