Peck is a village in Sanilac County of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village population was 599. The village is in Elk Township. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.6 km (1.0 mi ), all land. As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 599 people, 239 households, and 162 families residing in the village. The population density was 229.0/km (593.0/mi ). There were 253 housing units at an average density of 96.7/km (250.4/mi ). The racial makeup of the village was 96.83% White, 0.67% Native American, 0.33% Asian, and 2.17% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.17% of the population. There were 239 households out of which 32.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.9% were married couples living together, 12.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.2% were non-families. 28.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
