Clark Township is a civil township of Mackinac County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 censu, the township population was 2,200. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 263.0 km (101.6 mi ). 204.8 km (79.1 mi ) of it is land and 58.1 km (22.5 mi ) of it (22.11%) is water. As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 2,200 people, 952 households, and 674 families residing in the township. The population density was 10.7/km (27.8/mi ). There were 1,962 housing units at an average density of 9.6/km (24.8/mi ). The racial makeup of the township was 86.73% White, 0.05% African American, 9.95% Native American, 0.36% Asian, 0.27% from other races, and 2.64% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.64% of the population. There were 952 households out of which 26.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.1% were married couples living together, 8.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.2% were non-families. 26.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
