Copper City is a village in Houghton County of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village population was 205. The village is within Calumet Township. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 km (0.1 mi ), all land. As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 205 people, 82 households, and 56 families residing in the village. The population density was 989.4/km (2,426.8/mi ). There were 110 housing units at an average density of 530.9/km (1,302.2/mi ). The racial makeup of the village was 98.05% White, 0.98% Asian, and 0.98% from two or more races. There were 82 households out of which 37.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.5% were married couples living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.5% were non-families. 26.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
