Randolph is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. As of the 2000 census, the town population was 30,963. The ZIP code of Randolph, Massachusetts is 02368. Randolph is located at 42 °10 24 N, 71 °2 56 W (42.173417, -71.049124) GR1. Located fourteen miles south of Boston, at the intersection of Routes 128 and 24, Randolph's location has been an important factor in its economic and social history. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 27.2 km (10.5 mi ). 26.1 km (10.1 mi ) of it is land and 1.1 km (0.4 mi ) of it (4.10%) is water. The Town was Incorporated in 1793 and was formerly the "south precinct" of the Town of Braintree. It is a widely-held assumption that Randolph was named after Peyton Randolph, first President of the Continental Congress.
