Three Rivers is a census-designated place and village which is part of the town of Palmer in Hampden County, Massachusetts. The population was 2,939 at the 2000 census.

Three Rivers is located at 42 °10 45 N, 72 °21 50 W (42.179053, -72.363807) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 8.8 km (3.4 mi ). 8.3 km (3.2 mi ) of it is land and 0.5 km (0.2 mi ) of it (5.60%) is water.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 2,939 people, 1,203 households, and 795 families residing in the village. The population density was 354.6/km (918.4/mi ). There were 1,309 housing units at an average density of 157.9/km (409.1/mi ). The racial makeup of the village was 97.41% White, 0.34% African American, 0.34% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.44% from other races, and 1.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.05% of the population.

There were 1,203 households out of which 31.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.4% were married couples living together, 14.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.9% were non-families. 28.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.97.
