Milo is a town in Piscataquis County, Maine, United States. The population was 2,383 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 86.9 km (33.5 mi ). 85.0 km (32.8 mi ) of it is land and 1.9 km (0.7 mi ) of it (2.18%) is water.

The town is located where the Sebec River enters the Piscataquis River.

As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 2,383 people, 1,021 households, and 659 families residing in the town. The population density was 28.0/km (72.6/mi ). There were 1,215 housing units at an average density of 14.3/km (37.0/mi ). The racial makeup of the town was 98.36% White, 0.34% Black or African American, 0.59% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 0.04% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.17% of the population.

There were 1,021 households out of which 28.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.5% were married couples living together, 10.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.4% were non-families. 29.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.33 and the average family size was 2.84.
