Minot (founded 1802) is a town located in western Androscoggin County, Maine, USA with a population of 2,248 as of the 2000 U.S. census. It is included in both the Lewiston - Auburn, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine Metropolitan New England City and Town Area. It includes the villages of West Minot and Minot Center.

Historically a farming community, Minot is gradually transitioning to the status of "bedroom suburb" of the cities of Auburn and Lewiston, Maine.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 77.4 km (29.9 mi ). 77.1 km (29.8 mi ) of it is land and 0.4 km (0.1 mi ) of it (0.47%) is water.

As of the census 2 of 2000, there were 2,248 people, 794 households, and 646 families residing in the town. The population density was 29.2/km (75.5/mi ). There were 824 housing units at an average density of 10.7/km (27.7/mi ). The racial makeup of the town was 98.27% White, 0.22% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.18% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.36% of the population.
