Evergreen is a town in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 314 at the 2000 census.

Evergreen is located at 30 °57 10 N, 92 °6 33 W (30.952856, -92.109068) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.6 km (1.0 mi ), all land.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 314 people, 137 households, and 86 families residing in the town. The population density was 118.9/km (308.1/mi ). There were 152 housing units at an average density of 57.5/km (149.2/mi ). The racial makeup of the town was 73.57% White, 25.80% African American and 0.64% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.32% of the population.

There were 137 households out of which 26.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.4% were married couples living together, 11.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.2% were non-families. 32.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.91.
