Westfield is a town in Hamilton County, Indiana, United States. The population was 9,293 at the 2000 census.

Westfield is located at 40 °1 56 N, 86 °7 44 W (40.032266, -86.129015) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 19.8 km (7.6 mi ). 19.8 km (7.6 mi ) of it is land and 0.13% is water.

Westfield was founded on May 6, 1834 by Asa Bales, Ambrose Osborne and Nathan Parker, all Quakers from North Carolina. It is believed that the town was planned as a stop on the Underground Railroad with many families of the Quaker and Wesleyan Methodist churches supporting the cause. When the laws against aiding escaped slaves were harshened, part of the Westfield Quakers split into the Anti-Slavery Friends meeting. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 9,293 people, 3,386 households, and 2,454 families residing in the town. The population density was 470.3/km (1,218.2/mi ). There were 3,606 housing units at an average density of 182.5/km (472.7/mi ). The racial makeup of the town was 93.60% White, 1.00% African American, 0.40% Native American, 1.81% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 1.86% from other races, and 1.23% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.83% of the population.
