Oneida is a city in Knox County, Illinois, United States. The population was 752 at the 2000 census. Oneida is located at 41 °4 28 N, 90 °13 29 W (41.074579, -90.224730) GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.9 km (0.7 mi ), all land. As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 752 people, 303 households, and 226 families residing in the city. The population density was 397.7/km (1,035.9/mi ). There were 308 housing units at an average density of 162.9/km (424.3/mi ). The racial makeup of the city was 98.27% White, 0.13% Native American, 0.66% Asian, 0.66% from other races, and 0.27% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.33% of the population. There were 303 households out of which 32.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.4% were married couples living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.4% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
