Wyoming is a town in Kent County, Delaware, United States. It was named after Wyoming Valley, Pennsylvania It is part of the Dover, Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,141 at the 2000 census.

Wyoming is located at 39 °7 5 N, 75 °33 28 W (39.117950, -75.557867) GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.8 km (0.7 mi ). 1.8 km (0.7 mi ) of it is land and 0.1 km (0.04 mi ) of it (2.90%) is water.

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 1,141 people, 448 households, and 315 families residing in the town. The population density was 647.9/km (1,690.0/mi ). There were 485 housing units at an average density of 275.4/km (718.3/mi ). The racial makeup of the town was 79.49% White, 13.32% African American, 0.09% Native American, 3.86% Asian, 0.53% from other races, and 2.72% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.54% of the population.

There were 448 households out of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.5% were married couples living together, 12.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.5% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 2.99.
