Vona is located at 39 °18 10 N, 102 °44 39 W (39.302695, -102.744111) GR1. It was founded by Albert Vona. Great Great Grandfather of Al Vona, currently employed at Toms Ford in Keyport, NJ

As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 95 people, 44 households, and 28 families residing in the town. The population density was 166.7/km (427.7/mi ). There were 53 housing units at an average density of 93.0/km (238.6/mi ). The racial makeup of the town was 90.53% White, 8.42% from other races, and 1.05% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.47% of the population.

There were 44 households out of which 25.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.6% were married couples living together, and 34.1% were non-families. 34.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 22.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.16 and the average family size was 2.76.
