Port Alsworth is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska, U.S. According to the 2000 census, the population of the town was 104.
Port Alsworth was founded in 1950 by Babe Alsworth, a missionary and bush pilot, and Mary Alsworth, who was the town's first postmaster.
Port Alsworth is located at 60 °12 30 N, 154 °18 24 W (60.208281, -154.306586) GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 59.1 km (22.8 mi ). 58.8 km (22.7 mi ) of it is land and 0.4 km (0.1 mi ) of it (0.61%) is water.
As of the census GR2 of 2000, there were 104 people, 34 households, and 24 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1.8/km (4.6/mi ). There were 70 housing units at an average density of 1.2/km (3.1/mi ). The racial makeup of the CDP was 77.88% White, 4.81% Native American, and 17.31% from two or more races.
There were 34 households out of which 47.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.6% were married couples living together, 2.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.5% were non-families. 23.5% of all households were made up of individuals and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.06 and the average family size was 3.64.
